Lizzie Sartain

I have taught in a number of schools in both public and private sectors across the country during the last 24 years.  During my career I have been a classroom teacher across Key Stages 1 and 2; worked with secondary age students and adult learners, supporting those with specific learning difficulties in their workplace; worked within senior leadership teams and for the past 5 years I have been SENCo.

I am particularly interested in how the strategic role of the SENCO in mainstream schools can enable the successful inclusion and the best possible outcomes for learners with special educational needs.

Qualifications: B.Ed (Hons) Primary Music; O.C.R. Diploma for Teachers of Pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties; Postgraduate Certificate (Special Educational Needs Coordination (National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination)) with Distinction.
