Kate Griffiths

I have 21 years’ teaching experience, originally qualifying as a teacher of History and Special Needs.  During this time I have worked in Secondary Schools and Colleges as a class teacher, SEN Intervention Teacher, Head of Supportive Studies Department and SENCO.  For the past 14 years I have worked as a specialist teacher across both primary and secondary age ranges, working in the areas of cognition and learning and social and emotional mental health needs.

I am particularly interested in the use of cognitive behavioural type approaches to help children and young people overcome their barriers to learning.
