Claire Solesbury

I have been a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant for 16 years, specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, Sensory Processing Disorder, Pathological Demand Avoidance, Anxiety and associated mental health difficulties.

I have worked with children and young people individually and in small groups, delivering social skills intervention programmes, life skills and study skills; always focusing on the needs and interests of the young person and offering strategies to help them survive and thrive in everyday life.¬†After experiencing my own son’s difficulties and his diagnosis of ASC and Sensory Processing Disorder, I have been fascinated in, and passionate about helping children and young people with additional needs.

I have a keen interest in Animal Therapy and in particular, Equine Facilitated Learning, and how horses through their non-judgmental approach can help young people, to Heal, Trust and Accept.
