Dyslexia Training Course
Congratulations to Clair and Jane for writing and delivering a brilliant training package this term. Over 4 sessions (3 hours each), Enhancing Dyslexia Friendly Provision in Secondary Schools was delivered to 2 delegates from each of the secondary schools in the South Warwickshire Education Partnership (SWEP).
The course included an understanding of dyslexia and its impact on teaching & learning; creating resources which constitute good universal provision for dyslexic pupils and appropriate interventions for developing specific skills.
Delegates reported their knowledge and understanding of dyslexia went up from an average of 4/9 to 9/9; and feedback has been excellent:
“It was probably the most useful course I’ve been on! Extremely knowledgable presenters and passionate; and the development plan at the end is amazingly helpful!”
“The policy document is so useful to evaluate and develop all provision – publish it!!”
“The knowledge Clair and Jane have is extensive and they explain difficult concepts in an easy way.”
“The development plan is going to make a massive difference – SLT will love it!”
